Estimator/Project Coordinator

BKT Excavating Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator/Project Coordinator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a foundation in civil construction estimating and possess strong analytical skills, accompanied with excellent communication and organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

• College diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Project Management, or similar
• Proficiency with MS excel, word, outlook, and project
• InSite Elevation, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD software experience is considered an asset
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, strong ability to multi-task
• Positive team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision
• Valid G License with clean drivers abstract and reliable transportation

• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other relevant material to provide accurate quantity take-offs
• Preparation of detailed cost estimates utilizing company costing history
• Draft, solicit and review RFPs from suppliers and subcontractors
• Draft and submit bid proposals to clients
• Liaise with construction personnel in creation and weekly review of project schedule and deliverables
• Assist in creation of project billing schedule of values, time and material billing and continual review of work progress
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to ensure scope of work is understood
• Perform various other duties as assigned
