As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our management team.

THE ROLE

As a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful cost management of our joinery and commercial fit-out projects from tender preparation through to project completion. Working closely with the project team, you will ensure that health and safety, profitability, and client satisfaction objectives are consistently achieved.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Tendering & Pricing:
  • Prepare detailed tenders for joinery works and furniture fit-outs, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
  • Issue tender queries and follow up on submitted tenders to secure opportunities.
  • Client & Project Coordination:
  • Engage with contractors and clients from initial inquiries to final accounts.
  • Liaise with project teams to monitor project progress, manage risk, and ensure adherence to budgets.
  • Cost Management:
  • Re-measure and price variations and day works.
  • Prepare and review internal cost value comparisons (CVCs) for director comment and inclusion in monthly accounts.
  • Prepare, agree, and finalize project accounts with client representatives.
  • Data Management & Sourcing:
  • Maintain and update the supplier cost database.
  • Assist in sourcing specialized materials and continuously review suppliers to optimize costing processes.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
  • Compile and present Cost vs. Actual reports for contracts exceeding set values.
