Description:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Estimator in Midland, Texas. This role involves collecting and analyzing information to estimate the costs of products and services for assigned projects. As an Estimator, you will also be working closely with vendors and contractors, manage bids, and present detailed cost analysis to management.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to understand the project thoroughly.
- Evaluate factors of production that will influence the cost of a service or product.
- Prepare and present material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service.
- Develop labor estimates for any project.
- Foster and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors.
- Manage bids from vendors and contractors and use bid data to prepare a detailed cost analysis.
- Present prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders.
- Compile and record actual costs of projects.
- Attend BID walks with perspective clients and field personnel.
- Perform other assignments as required.
- Must hold a minimum of three years’ experience in the role of an Estimator or a similar position.
- Proficient in Cost-Job and Cost-Standard estimation techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
- Strong skills in construction estimating are essential.
- Experience with vendor relations is a must.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Estimating software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry trends, material costs, and labor rates.
- High ethical standards and professionalism.
- Strong negotiation skills.
