  • IT Competency: Quickly adapting to internal systems, as the role involves utilising various platforms and tools
  • HR/People Management experience advantageous

Responsibilities:

  • Shape our approach and principles for driving ethical leadership – advising, supporting and challenging colleague across the business so they can inform and follow these – taking the evolving landscape into account
  • Leads consistent and independent assessments of cases or investigations into potential non-conformance to policies, project governance and compliance activities – quantifying risks where appropriate, balancing those with clearly defined remedial action and consequential actions
  • Understand and clearly communicate the ethical and policy considerations of specific use cases and overall standards – taking into account the HR, legal and policy perspective
  • Responsible for providing pan Openreach second line oversight of ABC first line controls and assurance systems. Including ensuring business areas update all controls and processes to comply with any regulatory changes and feedback from Ethics and Compliance assurance recommendations.
  • Horizon scanning and staying ahead of ABC compliance best practice and support any changes to policies and procedures
  • Leads on reporting cycle and development of KPIs and dashboards, including reporting required at executive level
  • Oversight and production of papers for quarterly ARCs and other governance committees
  • Engaged to deliver training to high-risk communities, to enhance first line knowledge of compliance – including driving and co-ordinating senior management focus and promote culture of awareness of anti-bribery and corruption throughout the organisation
  • Act as a voice for Openreach on ethics, providing thought leadership and challenge to senior stakeholders, director level and above
  • Develop and share case studies of how ethics and responsible behaviour creates value, develop creative and compelling content
