Description:

Appointments in the Queensland public sector are based on appointing the eligible person that is best suited to the position. We will look at your ability to perform the requirements of the role, including the extent to which you have the abilities, aptitude, skills, qualifications, knowledge, experience and personal qualities relevant to the carrying out of the duties of the position.
The ideal applicant will demonstrate the following key attributes as they apply to the key responsibilities of the role:

  • Ability to provide accurate, timely, and relevant advice on ethical issues, misconduct and corrupt conduct issues.
  • Capacity to soundly research, develop and implement policies and guidelines that are clear.
  • Ability to develop, gain executive approval for and effectively deliver ethics awareness strategies and training.
  • Capacity to: - receive and assess misconduct and corrupt conduct allegations appropriately; - co-ordinate and investigate cases effectively and objectively and thoroughly document proceedings; - maintain a high standard of practice through governance and risk management; - build and sustain relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of customer[1]focused outcomes; - liaise professionally and productively with complainants, subject officers, witnesses, the CCC, Public Sector Commission (PSC) and other relevant parties; and, - produce case management outcomes that are endorsed by decision makers and the CCC.
  • High level of interpersonal, negotiation and persuasive skills are required in dealing with senior executives, managers, culturally diverse and sometimes critical audiences.

Qualifications and conditions: The Queensland Government strongly encourages all staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID 19, however it is not a mandatory requirement for this role. A current driver’s license is necessary. The applicant must be able to travel throughout Queensland. Your referees will need to attest to your discretion, maintenance of absolute confidentiality and a confidentiality agreement will need to be signed. The successful applicant may be subject to a probationary period.
