JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Sr. Developer with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Python ETL Database and SQL. Experience in the Cards and Payments domain is a plus. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can contribute to our projects and drive impactful results. The position operates on a day shift with no travel requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess a strong background in Python ETL Database and SQL.
• Demonstrate experience in designing and implementing efficient ETL processes.
• Show proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
• Have a good understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Display strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in the Cards and Payments domain is a plus.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies is preferred.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior developers is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Proactive attitude and a willingness to continuously learn and improve.
• Ability to work in a hybrid work model with minimal supervision.
• Strong documentation skills to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  Salary and Other Compensation:
  The annual salary for this position is between $110,000 – $ 120,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
  This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Python ETL Database and SQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for new features and enhancements.
• Design and implement efficient ETL processes to ensure seamless data integration and transformation.
• Optimize database performance by writing efficient SQL queries and tuning existing ones.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Ensure the security and integrity of data by implementing robust data protection measures.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the overall success of the team by actively participating in team meetings and discussions.
