Join our EUCAN medical team in a new and exciting role as the Healthcare Innovations Delivery Lead. As part of our Regional Medical Leaders team, you will work across all therapy areas to identify strategic unmet needs and opportunities, develop and deliver large, scalable innovative solutions. This role is a vital connector between therapy area teams and functions, working in partnership to address the most impactful unmet needs, create new ideas and partnerships, and improve both system and patient outcomes.
As the EUCAN Healthcare Innovations Delivery Medical Lead, you will be responsible for delivering EUCAN Medical Affairs Healthcare System Innovation Programmes, working across all therapy area franchises. You will partner with the EUCAN Medical Leadership Teams and multiple AZ stakeholders to ensure alignment of cross-franchise and cross-functional commitment to strategic objectives. You will provide strong Medical Affairs leadership of pathfinding for innovative pilots and projects which may be scaled to other therapy areas and countries.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Medical Affairs (Global, regional, or local) with significant proportion in country level experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of data generation, publications, authorship / writing, digital / AI, within pharma
  • Experience of working in access and healthcare pathways and systems
  • A high level of knowledge and experience in planning and delivering programmes and projects, with due diligence in budget management
  • Experience of working with senior level stakeholders and sponsors and reporting progress clearly and effectively, in a timely manner
  • Experience of managing complex issues and/or conflicting agendas
  • Experience of successful influencing cross functionally, cross-culturally and cross-brands
  • Comprehensive understanding of the development and commercialisation of pharmaceutical products

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience of effective working in a multi-cultural, matrixed environment
  • Experience working in a global setting, managing stakeholders within different time zones
  • Experience preparing and/or delivering presentations to executive leadership
  • Known as an inspirational leader who drives excellence through strategy and positive culture
  • Hands on programme management experience
  • A successful track record of preparing and supporting substantial research and /or investment funding proposals
  • Experience of successfully delivering large scale and complex innovation and externally facing / external impact transformation programmes
