Overview:
The Compensation & Benefits Specialist role is a key position responsible for overseeing and administrating comprehensive compensation and benefits programs across Europe, working together with the Europe HR team and Corporate Global Total Rewards teams. This role involves administering salary benchmarks, bonus calculations, and pension programs, as well as managing job descriptions and benefits packages. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of European compensation practices, and excellent communication abilities to ensure fair and competitive total rewards for all employees.

Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with the Global Total Rewards team, develop and maintain competitive salary benchmarks and compensation structures across all European regions, ensuring alignment with industry standards and local regulations.
  • Calculate and administer bonus and incentive programs, including performance-based bonuses, profit-sharing, and recognition awards, tailored to each market.
  • Oversee the global merit increase process for Europe, incorporating performance evaluations and market trends to ensure fair and consistent pay practices.
  • Oversee pension and retirement programs, collaborating with external providers to optimize offerings and ensure compliance with regional requirements.
  • Create and update job descriptions for all positions, reflecting accurate responsibilities, qualifications, and performance expectations.
  • Oversee employee benefits packages, including health insurance, wellness programs, leave policies, and other perks, to attract and retain top talent.
  • Conduct regular reviews of total rewards packages to identify opportunities for improvement and cost-efficiency.
  • Implement and communicate changes to compensation and benefits programs, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
  • Lead projects related to compensation and benefits, such as mergers and acquisitions, system upgrades, or regulatory changes, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, finance, legal, and business leaders, to align compensation and benefits strategies with organizational goals and values.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation and benefits management, with a focus on European markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of compensation practices, tax regulations, and pension schemes across multiple European countries.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and market trends to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven project management capabilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and discretion, handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and confidentiality.
