Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week
Salary Range: Dependent on experience
Location: Doncaster (up to 2 days remote working per week)

Responsibilities:

We are searching for a European Management Accountant to join our Corporate Finance Team.
Reporting to the European Financial Controller the purpose of this role is to provide financial control and reporting for our Benelux operations which include a distribution centre, sales & marketing functions, shared European resources and a separate branch operation. The position is also jointly responsible for the preparation of the consolidated group, Channel and Proforma Country reports.

In This Role, You will…

  • Be the primary contact representing the Finance department for Fellowes Holdings BV and it’s Filex Branch. Providing accurate information to Budget holders including shared services, Business Teams, other Fellowes colleagues and relevant external parties.
  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts for the Benelux operations.
  • Preparation and review of Supplemental Expense Schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of the European Consolidated reporting for submission to the US parent.
  • Preparation of the Pro-Forma and Channel reports and other European reports as required.
  • Internal Cost Centre reporting.
  • Variance analysis Actual Vs Budget and Actual Vs Last Year and commentary for Senior Management and Budget holders.
  • Preparation and control of the Benelux operations Budgets & Forecasts in conjunction with the overall Europe consolidated Group, Channel and Country budgets
  • Intercompany reconciliations and recharges.
  • Analysis of expense and balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy of transactions.
  • Liaison with external audit teams to achieve audit clearance.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements and tax computations for Fellowes Holdings BV, and the consolidated statutory reporting.
  • Ensure full compliance with all statutory reporting requirements throughout your area of responsibility.
  • VAT and Intra-stat returns
  • Providing information to produce transfer pricing reporting.
  • Management, supervision, training, development, and motivation of an Assistant Management Accountant.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Highly collaborative, numerate and analytical.
  • Experience as a management accountant with some level of responsibility.
  • Qualified accepted accountancy qualification e.g. CIMA, ACCA.
  • Must be fully conversant with Sales and Margin calculations, balance sheet reconciliation and Stock Management.
  • Ideally experience with multi-channel and multi-currency environment.
  • Ideally experienced in US GAAP.
  • Ideally experience of accounting within the manufacturing or distribution industry.
  • Must be fully conversant with content of all financial information reports and capable of communicating with finance and non-finance personnel in a concise and understandable manner.
  • Good commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office range of products, in particular Excel (at least intermediate) & Word. Additional related skills and competencies a plus.
  • Experience of using Oracle systems would be advantageous.
  • English language a necessity, whilst fluency in Dutch, French, German or other European languages would be an advantage.
