Eurovision Sport - Head of Business Strategy

THE EUROPEAN BROADCASTING UNION EBU IS LOOKING FOR A HEAD OF BUSINESS STRATEGY FOR THE EUROVISION SPORT PLATFORM

This is a remote position (EMEA open locations), thanks to our collaboration with our EOR (employer of records) global partner, we are open to hiring in various locations. Strong preference for role to be based in Madrid.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• At least 6 years of experience in a similar role
• Proven experience in developing and executing long-term business strategies in collaboration with executive leadership.
• Extensive experience in planning, managing, and delivering complex projects, including developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Able to estimate and managing project budgets and ROIs, as well as adapting business plans in alignment with financial goals.
• Ability to lead stakeholder meetings and deliver presentations and reports to senior leadership.
• Experience in development of external investment opportunities
• Demonstrated ability to drive alignment and collaboration across multiple departments, such as marketing, product, business operations, and legal, to achieve strategic goals
• A team player, with an abundance of energy, passion, humor and enthusiasm.
• Passion for sports
  LANGUAGE - Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills. Other languages a plus, notably French, Spanish and any other European languages
  EDUCATION - Degree level and above

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

The Head of Business Strategy has a key role in steering the strategic planning and execution of long-term business initiatives for Eurovision Sport.
Collaborating closely with the executive team, and reporting to the Managing Director, Eurovision Sport, this role focuses on defining and implementing strategies to expand distribution, increase revenue, and develop external investment opportunities.
The position requires leading stakeholder meetings and delivering insightful status reports and presentations. The Head of Business Strategy ensures alignment with business goals by tracking project objectives, scope, and deliverables. This role facilitates cross-functional collaboration among various teams, including partner management, commercialization, content acquisition, and more, to achieve project success. By monitoring progress and addressing challenges, the role ensures timely updates to leadership and implements tools for efficient project tracking and reporting.
The Head of Business Strategy plays a crucial role in budget management by working with finance and leadership to estimate and manage project ROIs. This includes updating and adapting the Business Plan and its underlying modelling approach in coordination with the executive team.
