Description:
AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY HAS NOW ARISEN FOR YOU TO JOIN OUR OPCC TEAM IN LEICESTERSHIRE.
We are looking for an Evaluation and Scrutiny Officer to work full-time on a fixed term contract for 12 months.
You will be working as part of the wider performance team, and will be providing support and advice to the Police and Crime Commissioner and members of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) to support in the oversight and scrutiny of the Leicestershire Police Force and other providers in the delivery of the Police and Crime Plan Priorities.
If you have analytical skills with experience of undertaking research and/or scrutiny and experience of preparing and producing complex written reports and briefings. An ability to be thorough, precise and produce accurate work to meet deadlines, have good interpersonal and communication skills, including working well with colleagues and as part of a team and a confident attitude when challenged with ability to support arguments and recommendations both verbally and in writing this is the job for you.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Commissioner in the oversight and scrutiny of the Force and other service providers in the delivery of the Police and Crime Plan Priorities.
- Work with the Commissioner and his senior managers to design, configure, deliver, evaluate and review the programme of activity by which the Commissioner holds Leicestershire Police and those he commissions to account for delivery of the strategic priorities.
- Provide specialist and professional advice to staff at all levels in the effective use of analysis to support managerial strategies and decisions.
