PROGRAM EVALUATION COORDINATOR

Calgary Homeless Foundation (CHF) guides the fight against homelessness in Calgary. We allocate resources for highest impact and outcomes, maximizing benefits for people experiencing homelessness.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social or health sciences, education, business, public administration, or similar. A master’s degree would be considered an asset.
  • 3 or more years being in a role that involves working with survey, interview, focus group, or similar data.
  • Familiarity with program evaluation fundamentals (e.g., program logic models)
  • Familiarity with Systems Thinking and Evaluative Thinking is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including preparing reports.
  • Excellent project coordination and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Presentations.

Responsibilities:

AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Support the Evaluation Lead in designing and executing participant experience data collection and analysis
  • Collaborate with funded program key contacts and CHF System Planners to ensure each program has an up-to-date theory of change
  • Work with funded program contacts throughout the fiscal year to track and assess program impact relative to their theory of change, making iterative changes to the theory of change where appropriate. Consult with the Evaluation Lead on trends and findings when partnering with programs.
  • Support the Evaluation Lead in the execution of evaluations of select funded programs as required
  • Support the development of the Homeless-Serving System of Care as a social learning system, fostering networks of mutual learning, feedback, and iterative growth and development; for example, support the development of a systems-level evaluation framework to drive coordinated data collection, analysis, and dissemination
  • Collaborate with CHF’s Data & Analytics and HMIS teams to analyze data relevant for program evaluations
  • Support the communication and actioning of these key insights with funded programs and other key contacts
  • Participate in communities of practice and other meetings to help shape and understand program evaluation capacity within the sector
  • Support internal program evaluation capacity building within CHF
  • Other relevant duties as assigned by the Director of Programs and Evaluation.
