Job Description
Join our Education vertical as an Event and Communications Lead in Melbourne to make a real impact every day. We say that because we know that every conversation we have, every code line we write and every interface we design is another opportunity for us to enrich our customers’ experiences.
The Event and Communications Lead will play a critical role in amplifying Xplor Education’s brand presence, driving retention, managing strategic communications, and delivering high-impact events that engage customers, prospects, and sector partners. This position requires a highly organised, strategic thinker with exceptional interpersonal, project management and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Director of Customer & Marketing, you’ll be part of a global team of high-performance marketers working together to build the Xplor brand strategy in the Education vertical. You’ll play a key role in the Commercial team at Xplor Education, supported by the global Marketing function within the wider Xplor Technologies organisation.

Some of the other responsibilities include:

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate in-person and virtual events, including trade shows, webinars, customer summits, and industry conferences.
  • Develop event strategies and objectives that align with overall marketing and business goals.
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, budget tracking, and post-event analysis.
  • Play an integral role in deepening engagement with existing customers in the Education vertical through events and digital communications channels.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure lead generation and brand awareness targets are met through event participation.
  • Support the Marketing Team by owning and driving Product release and Product Marketing Communications
  • Set, plan and implement social media and communication campaigns and strategies to grow our customer reach. Act as main social media manager for Xplor Education accounts.
  • Create compelling event materials, including invitations, landing pages, and promotional content.
  • Collaborate with the Copywriting and Design team to develop blog posts, case studies, and whitepapers to support communications and event initiatives.
  • Ensure all materials adhere to brand guidelines and resonate with target audiences.
  • Partner with product, sales, and customer success teams to ensure messaging is aligned with customer needs and business priorities.
  • Work closely with leadership to prepare presentations, speeches, and other communication materials.

For this position, we offer a hybrid and flexible working model, where you will spend 2-3 days per week in the office and the rest working from home.
