SUMMARY:

We are looking for an Event & Retail Manager to join our Miami leadership team! They will be leading and coaching a team of marketing representatives, and helping the team improve performance. This role is responsible for driving non-media lead generation and brand awareness locally through in-person experiential marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities
  • 3-5 years’ experience in sales/marketing, planning events and/or managing sales/retail teams.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to think strategically, with strong project management skills, including attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to self-manage resources (time & budget) to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to analyze effectiveness of events, sponsorships, and local programs.
  • Ability to understand role of marketing communications, sales promotion, and advertising.
  • Demonstrated ability with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new team members.
  • In-field coaching.
  • Manages department calendar - includes negotiating with event sponsors and outside vendors to procure space for events.
  • Oversees participation in events, sponsorship, retail partnerships and creation of lead-gen opportunities.
  • Expense and P&L management of Events & Showroom; controls spend within budget.
  • Collaborates with internal partners such as Sales, Inside Sales, Talent Acquisition, HR & Finance
  • Communicates results and strategy with management.
