POSITION SUMMARY
- Handles customer requests and leads for group accommodation and catering;
- Responds timely and accurately to incoming group/catering opportunities;
- Works closely with the customers to meet their needs and actively up-sells each business opportunity to maximize revenue and drive customer loyalty;
- Processes business correspondence and creates proposals, presentations, contracts and other related booking documentation;
- Ensures accurate and timely handover (Banquet event orders, Group sheets) for quality service delivery;
- Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business as required;
- Maintains customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience, promotes the Marriott Bonvoy program;
- Conducts site inspections and presentations for the clients;
- Demonstrates excellent selling skills, strong communication skills, and a detailed understanding of property operations, food and beverage, and event planning.
- Achieves personal and team financial/non-financial goals;
Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None
