Description:
EVENT COORDINATOR
The Event Coordinator is responsible for developing new client relationships, maintaining existing accounts, planning events from start to finish, assisting with social media and marketing efforts, as well as miscellaneous administrative duties.
You embrace Kiss the Cook’s values and mission, portraying our brand in all communications and client interactions. You will utilize our programs and tools for maximum efficiency, as you can expect to manage a high volume of inquiries and events. You have experience using Event Planning Software such as “Caterease”, or equivalent tool.
You are familiar with Microsoft Outlook/ Office and have exceptional communication skills.
Event planning duties include receiving and answering incoming inquiries via email and phone, creating proposals and estimates, start-to-finish wedding and event coordination, and event management.
You will participate in offsite and onsite food tastings for your prospective clients.
You will attend meetings pertaining to sales and marketing initiatives. Collaborate on new projects relating to the event planning team and meeting desired results and deadlines.
Beyond the support of our brand, you are also an ambassador for nurturing a healthy and thriving company culture; leading by example and promoting Kiss the Cook among peers and clients with great enthusiasm. You will help with planning internal staff events and incentives, keeping a positive workplace culture, and creating company newsletters, and communications.
You are punctual and reliable with strong work ethics and determination. You are expected to have exceptional attendance.
You enjoy working in a fast-paced, growing, small business environment and are available to work a full-time schedule Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm as well as flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for planned special events, when given advance notice.
You must have a valid drivers license and be able to attend offsite events, deliveries and corporate meetings throughout the GTA.
Do you have experience with social media?
We are interested in the possibility of finding a candidate with niche expertise in organizing and managing our social media calendar, company newsletter, client newsletter and other outreach pertaining to ongoing marketing plans. Knowledge of programs such as Canva, Hootsuite, Instagram, is considered an asset. If you have proven success and knowledge on social media, design or marketing abilities, please include more details in your cover letter / resume. Competitive Compensation based upon experience.
