JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events, ensuring that every aspect runs smoothly and meets the expectations of our clients. This role requires strong customer service skills, excellent time management, and the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers. We’re mostly looking at concert creation/festival facilitation around Southern Ontario.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in event planning or coordination within the hospitality or hotel industry is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial management related to event planning.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers for optimal results.
  • Strong time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests is essential.

    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $20.00-$26.18 per hour
    Expected hours: 8 – 32 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including logistics, catering, venue selection, and guest services.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for each event.
  • Manage budgets effectively while negotiating with vendors to secure the best rates without compromising quality.
  • Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all details are executed as planned.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the event process, addressing any issues that may arise promptly.
  • Utilize organizational skills to maintain schedules and timelines for multiple events simultaneously.
  • Upsell additional services or products to enhance client experiences and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and improve future events.
  • Apply and coordinate social media accounts, including making posts & staying up to date with social media trends.
