EVENT MANAGER

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Climb Channel Solutions, a specialty distributor of IT products and services, focused on driving success with innovative vendors, value-added resellers, and managed service providers, is currently seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Event Manager position on its Marketing Team. In this role you will report to the VP of Worldwide Marketing and be leading the day-to-day management of corporate events across the continental US.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in customer engagement, event planning, and/or event coordination from initial ideation to event wrap-up and promotion.
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills
  • Strong writing and communications skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Able to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Tools: Microsoft Products, Asana, and Zoho or other CRM, Marketing Automation tools

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, plans, and manages meetings, conferences, events, webinars, and tradeshows.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop engagement strategies to ensure successful ROI for all stakeholders.
  • Coordinates a variety of internal and external resources to plan and execute events from start to finish.
  • Works with the marketing and sales teams to promote events through various channels.
  • Manages event registration and RSVP lists, ensuring attendance goals are met and follow up with attendees and sponsors as necessary.
  • Collects and analyzes feedback from attendees to continually improve future events.
  • Works withing a budget
  • Supports other sales and company events and marketing activities
  • Collaborate with members of the Corporate Marketing & Production teams when preparing key deliverables and analysis.
  • Support corporate marketing initiatives as needed
  • Although this work may include a limited amount of remote working you will be expected to work in one of Climb’s offices 2-4 days/week (depending on office location: Crownsville, MD, Eatontown, NJ, or Denver, CO) unless traveling for events.
  • Travel is required across North America in support of events – will vary based on location and time of year.
