Event manager (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities:
- Develop Comprehensive Event Proposals: Create detailed event proposals for Germany, Switzerland, and globally, covering timelines, venues, vendors, staffing, and budgets. Plan event layouts and agendas, ensuring all logistical aspects are addressed.
- Speaker and Guest Management: Identify and secure speakers, special guests, and entertainment for each event, providing exceptional support to all attendees, speakers, and guests.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including marketing teams, to promote events and support communication initiatives.
- Event Technology: Leverage advanced event management software, virtual event platforms, and hybrid event technologies to enhance the attendee experience and ensure smooth operations.
- Event Analysis and Improvement: Evaluate the success of each event and propose innovative enhancements based on data-driven insights. Forecast, measure, and report results on various projects, including content promotions, lead sharing, and event partnerships.
- Sustainability Focus: Ensure that events adhere to sustainable practices, minimizing environmental impact through smart vendor choices, materials, and logistical decisions.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Handle unforeseen challenges, such as last-minute changes or technical difficulties, through quick and effective problem-solving strategies.
- Cross-Cultural Collaboration: Work closely with the head of PR/Events and marketing teams to align event goals with new and existing partner relationships across diverse international territories. Provide strategic guidance on engaging with media analysts, influencers, and diverse cultural groups.
- Concept Development and Execution: Brainstorm and implement new event plans, concepts, and formats in line with organizational goals.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as required to meet the company’s objectives and goals
Your profile:
- Proven expertise in event planning and management, including speaker outreach, vendor relationship management, and sponsorship coordination. Experience in pitching, crafting, and placing content externally is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer support.
- Proficiency in event technology tools, such as event management platforms and virtual event systems.
- Familiarity with key event logistics, including space management, audio/visual setups, decor, entertainment, signage, housing, and speaker coordination.
- Experience with sustainable event practices to ensure eco-friendly and socially responsible event planning.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across diverse territories and time zones.
- Strong problem-solving skills to manage last-minute challenges and ensure the seamless execution of events.
- Demonstrated ability to perform well under pressure, managing multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment, embracing change and contributing proactively to evolving challenges
