COMPANY: POLITICO

POLITICO is seeking an Event Marketing Content Associate to support the development and execution of content-driven strategic campaigns for our POLITICO Live events and summits. This role is part of the Global Live Division and works closely with the Events Marketing Manager to create compelling content that drives event promotion and engagement across key digital channels. The position requires a near-native English speaker with exceptional attention to detail, creativity, and the ambition to continuously improve our approach. This role reports to POLITICO’s Senior Marketing Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in direct marketing, digital marketing, or a similar role.
  • Exceptional copywriting skills, ideally with experience writing for consumer brands or public relations.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken (native proficiency is highly desirable).
  • Proven ability to align content strategies with ambitious event growth objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple stakeholders and coordinating project timelines effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a strong focus on prioritization and attention to detail.
  • Creativity and a proactive attitude to consistently improve and innovate.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute multi-channel promotional campaigns for events and summits, including email, social media, and paid advertising (e.g., Google Ads and X Ads).
  • Collaborate with internal teams—design, editorial, and sales—and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and seamless campaign execution.
  • Support marketing managers in delivering integrated marketing campaigns with a strong focus on content development and optimization.
  • Develop key content assets and messaging strategies that resonate with target audiences, ensuring alignment with broader campaign goals.
  • Work with the audience recruitment specialist to target key audience messages and ensure content is effectively tailored to the intended audience.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to content engagement, analyze campaign outcomes, and report on success metrics using tools like Adobe Analytics and DOMO.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure campaign impact and alignment with brand consistency.
  • Assist with creative design needs in partnership with our in-house graphic designer.
  • Provide organizational and project support across event marketing initiatives, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are updated.
