WE ARE SHOWSEC, THE AWARD-WINNING VENUE AND EVENT SECURITY SPECIALIST DEDICATED TO ACHIEVING EXCELLENCE IN CROWD MANAGEMENT.

We are seeking additional Event Safety Stewards to join our Glasgow team at a variety of venues within central Scotland, including O2 Academy Glasgow and O2 Academy Edinburgh. The role of an Event Safety Steward is largely focused on customer service, so we expect you to be confident, approachable and friendly.
Whether you’re looking for lots of work or just a handful of shifts, our casual agreement offers you great flexibility. Due to the nature of the events industry, weekend and evening availability is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre and post event checks
  • Assist with safe and effective ingress, egress and queue management
  • Enforce venue policies and procedures
  • Pass, accreditation, and ticket checks
  • Ensure fire exits and evacuation routes are always kept clear
  • Monitor spectators for signs of distress, overcrowding and inappropriate behaviour, and report these to the on-shift supervisor
  • Be vigilant, identify potential hazards and suspicious behaviour, and report to the on-shift supervisor
  • Assist with evacuation and invacuation procedures in the event of an emergency
  • Ensure health and safety guidelines and regulations are adhered to by all stakeholders
  • Understand and complete general stewarding responsibilities
