Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Event Operations Manager, the Events Supervisor at W Edinburgh will have overall responsibility for daily operations of the Room Service team, ensuring guests receive a flawless service.
Joining the team means you will be instrumental to the success of the hotel’s operation and beyond. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented and passionate!

As Events Supervisor, key aspects of your role will include:

  • Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverage as stated in Banquet Event Order.
  • Setup meal and reception buffets, taste panels, individual event functions, server head table and/or VIP tables without managerial assistance.
  • Answer questions on menu selections. Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recook orders, and product availability.
  • Follow cycle time guidelines for all meals.
  • Maintain the highest level of standards throughout.
  • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
  • Communicate with guests and other talent and ensure talent is working together as a team to ensure optimum service.
