Description:

Musco Lighting is seeking a skilled and dedicated Event Technician to join our team in delivering exceptional lighting solutions for a large-scale global multi-sporting events located in Milan, Italy. This role involves hands-on work, collaboration with diverse teams, and a commitment to excellence in every project.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fluency in Italian and English (verbal and written) is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in event technology, lighting systems, or related fields.
  • Strong technical skills with a focus on electrical equipment and system maintenance.
  • Comfort with working at heights and operating aerial lifts and climbing equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in large-scale event setups.
  • Familiarity with global multi-sporting events and related logistics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Weekend and night work is required at times.
  • Long and odd work hours are necessary at times. Will be working in the elements including heat, cold, and rain.

Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance & Inspection:

  • Perform maintenance, repair, and detailed inspections of equipment and Musco products to ensure optimal performance.

Lighting Project Fine-Tuning:

  • Execute precise adjustments to lighting installations, including working from ladders, aerial lifts, and at the top of lighting poles or towers as required.

Project Coordination:

  • Coordinate project schedules and timelines with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events.

Communication:

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Project Manager to align on daily work duties, project progress, and schedules.

Field Reporting:

  • Provide thorough written field reports and complete all required project documentation within one week of assignment completion.

Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices concerning electrical equipment, event setups, and on-site activities.

Additional Duties:

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project and team success.
