We are now looking for an Event Workforce Coordinator to join our team on a fixed term contract basis from October 2024 until January 2025 based in our Tennis West offices - Burwood.
As this is a seasonal contract, we request full availability and flexibility for the duration of the contract.

About the role
Reporting to the Event Operations Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a consistent employee experience for the event workforce during the United Cup. Working in close partnership with both the Diversity & People, and Major Events teams, you will implement a range of operational and administrative services that are aligned to the organisational objectives.

In this role you will:

  • Liaise internally to understand workforce requirements for the event i.e. headcounts, functional areas.
  • Coordinate Team Quallies (volume assessment centre), Team Rally and other information sessions ensuring that they are effectively delivered.
  • Assist with the selection of the event workforce.
  • Be responsible for managing and maintaining incoming workforce information, such as background checks, personal details etc.,
  • Support event workforce induction and training.
  • Be the first point of contact for event workforce members.

About you

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Previous HR and/or events experience with high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment with conflicting tasks.
  • Ability to build rapport, maintain confidentiality & remain calm under pressure.
  • Developed computer literacy with experience in the use of databases and Microsoft Office suites.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
