Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Events Coordinator, you will work with every department across Waterstons to make sure we’re at, sponsoring, speaking at or hosting the best events for our experts and clients.
You’ll be responsible for everything from finding venues and collecting menu choices, to shipping merchandise and making sure everything runs smoothly. Some events will be big, some small, some online, some in person – if it’s a gathering, you’ll be the one making sure we make the best of it.
The role is suitable for a highly-organised self-starter with fantastic communication skills and the ability to spin a lot of plates.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the delivery of our full events programme; from our own hosted events to external exhibitions and speaking opportunities - plus everything in between.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders inside and outside of the organisation you’ll be involved in all aspects of events from creative ideation, booking, venue liaison, logistics, attendee/people management and merchandise, to post event debrief and lessons learned, with a clear focus on outcomes and engagement.
  • You’ll look for opportunities to get our people where our target audience is, into appropriate networking circles, and sharing expertise in front of those who need it.
  • Managing our external memberships; you’ll be the main marketing contact for our external memberships. You’ll negotiate packages, build relationships with partners and coordinate activities to ensure we maximise return on investment.
