Description:

If so, join our Events Service team to provide exemplary start-to-finish customer service for weddings, corporate conferences, and more. Our resort is a year-round conference facility that hosts small to medium-sized weddings in the summer and off-season, along with corporate events and holiday parties throughout the year. We experience waves of peak business, and we need a dynamic event coordinator to ensure everything runs smoothly, from first inquiry, to event execution, to final billing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in a similar role or as lead Banquet Server that is ready for the next step.
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge and experience, with a passion for sales and event coordination.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Able to enjoy working in a busy environment with minimum supervision.
- Strong drive to provide quality service to our internal and external customers.
- Assertive, self-starter, self-motivator with a high degree of professionalism.
- Strong leadership abilities and a customer-focused mindset.
- Knowledge of Silverware, Versa, & Event Temple (or similar POS and Property Management Systems) an asset.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning and executing a variety of events, including elopements, weddings, corporate retreats, and social events, ensuring each event is tailored to meet each guests needs.
- Organizing and distributing all information to our internal departments through banquet event orders, group resumes, rooming lists, etc.
- Conducting and setting up virtual or on-site tours to showcase the resort to potential clients.
- Support and assist the Sales and Catering Manager to meet and exceed guest expectations with event planning and execution.
- In the absence of the Sales and Catering Manager, be the contact person for all guest and team inquiries and provide assistance where necessary. Be familiar with the position requirements and in their absence complete their duties, when appropriate and necessary.
- Networking, collaborating, and maintaining positive working relationships with all our preferred wedding vendors.
- Overseeing wedding planners, vendors and the banquets team on the day(s) of the event to ensure smooth execution and guest satisfaction.
- Contribute and assist in creating a positive environment for development and learning for all Events Team Members
- Be responsible for the overall cleanliness and physical condition of the Events Department venues and storage areas.
