The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
Pay Range: $66,300.00 - $99,500.00
Job Description
The Event Coordinator will play an important role in growing Craft’s partnerships with Workforce Development Boards (WDBs). They will coordinate select events hosted by Craft, as well as the company’s participation in other WDB-focused conferences and events. They will also build out WDB communications and contribute to the development and implementation of new partnerships. Through their work, they will streamline operations, support pipeline development and partner engagement, and help the team amplify Craft’s presence and impact, contributing to its growth and reputation as a trusted partner.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages logistics for select company-hosted events, ensuring smooth planning and execution to maximize attendee attendance, engagement, and impact.
- Manages logistics for select events and conferences Craft attends, e.g. speaker submissions, registrations, and travel arrangements.
- Assists with the development of press releases for key partnerships across regions.
- Assists in preparing and organizing team materials/collateral, including flyers, promotional swag, website content, and other resources to support events, enhance brand presence, and engage target audiences.
- Assists with identifying and curating material for Craft’s social media accounts to increase brand visibility and reach.
- Inputs and assists with pipeline information in various systems to support field growth activities
- Compiles and drafts information for communications with WDBs (e.g. success stories and platform tips) to keep users active and informed.
- Supports training and onboarding processes for new WDB partners, such as entering their information into Craft’s systems, communicating with points of contacts, and providing any supplemental materials.
- Contributes to Craft’s applications to add institutions of higher education (e.g. Western Governors University) to state Education Training Provider Lists (ETPLs), liaising with regional staff as needed.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail, e.g. coordinating logistics and documenting client information.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging messages for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and communication tools (e.g., email marketing platforms).
- Ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to prepare and deliver training content, visualizations, or presentations for stakeholders.
- Attend in-person events, meetings, and/or conferences as needed.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing/communications or business administration
Experience
- 2+ years’ experience with event planning, communications, and execution.
- Experience collaborating with customers or external stakeholders.
- Experience managing conference and/or event assets.
Experience in lieu of education
Equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements. Generally, equivalent relevant experience is defined as 1 year of experience for 1 year of education and is the discretion of the hiring manager.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting client onboarding.
- Familiarity with apprenticeship programs and workforce development initiatives.
Work Location
Work location is determined by role and business needs. In addition to our headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT, we have several satellite locations across the US. Senior leadership, administrative functions, and technology teams are typically assigned to work in one of our office locations. While this position will begin with a Remote/Work-From-Home designation, this position will work “In-Office” once a dedicated space in Nashville, TN is established.
