- Proven experience in F&B Event Management within luxury hospitality
- Good understanding of event operations and associated responsibilities
- Strong managerial skills including team leadership and scheduling

- Knowledge of Health & Safety and food hygiene regulations

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
The Events Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager at The Roof Gardens is a key member of the front of house service team. You will be a hands-on proactive leader responsible for overseeing the management and operational performance of the club’s events. This position demands a blend of strategic insight and hands-on management expertise, aimed at delivering unparalleled service and member satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy: Responsible for overseeing both internal and external events at The Roof Gardens, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery. Develop and refine operational processes to enhance F&B event efficiency and service quality, establishing a robust F&B team structure for successful event execution. Collaborate with F&B leadership team to develop and innovate seasonal event menus aligned with brand values, incorporating client feedback. Facilitate monthly tasting sessions to enhance staff product knowledge and contribute creative ideas to the Members Event Calendar.
Financial: Collaborate with the F&B Director/General Manager to review budgets, revenue targets, margins and drive sales across F&B event operations. Ensure accurate billing and adhere to financial procedures, conducting regular reviews to maintain profitability and staffing efficiency. Monitor event wage costs, track payroll, and manage agency and freelance team bookings as needed. Coordinate with the Stock Controller, Bar/ General Manager to optimise event stock control measures and minimise costs. Regularly review practices and equipment levels to meet operational requirements, including arranging logistics for external events as directed by the F&B Director.
Service & Members: Champion service excellence across all areas, providing regular training to ensure consistent standards amongst the F&B events team at The Roof Gardens. Cultivate strong relationships with members, setting the tone for Club areas and events. Develop and oversee an event-training plan for both core staff and external team members, ensuring ongoing standards through regular sessions and evaluation. Implement and oversee a member feedback/complaints process for front-of-house staff, ensuring clear procedures and resolutions are consistently applied.
People: Build a confident F&B events team capable of contributing ideas on F&B offerings and meeting client needs through planned tastings. Take charge of all events team training to ensure the highest service standards and continually develop a core team familiar with the venue layout and values. Collaborate with the People team to implement best practices in recruitment and selection processes and conduct regular performance appraisals, promptly addressing performance issues and recognising good performance.
Compliance: Ensure that both you and your team members take pride in maintaining the Club’s environment by upholding a high level of personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards within the Events F&B team. Keep equipment and fixtures well-maintained, promptly reporting any faults or damage. Maintain a consistent focus on managing allergens effectively. Ensure team members strictly adhere to health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards in accordance with statutory and company procedures, including compliance with premises license operating requirements.
