Description:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Events Manager in the hotel industry, located in San Francisco, California. This role will involve managing event planning operations, coordinating with multiple departments, and overseeing budget processes. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of event planning and execution, ensuring high-quality customer experiences
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operations for each event
- Utilize accounting software systems to manage event budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness
- Implement account coding for accurate tracking of event expenditures
- Utilize ATS (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) for efficient data and voice traffic management
- Develop and manage event-related banner ads to promote events and attract potential customers
- Handle billing functions related to events, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing
- Utilize tools such as Concur for streamlined expense management and reporting
- Oversee capital management for event-related expenditures, ensuring optimal return on investment
- Manage annual budget processes related to events, ensuring financial efficiency and effectiveness.
- Candidate must possess robust knowledge in Account Coding and Accounting Software Systems.
- Proficiency in ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode is a must.
- Ability to create and manage Banner Ads is required.
- Familiarity with Concur software for travel and expense management is essential.
- Demonstrable expertise in Accounting Functions, including Annual Budget management, Billing Functions, and Budget Processes.
- Experience in Capital Management is necessary.
- Candidates are expected to have experience in the hospitality or related industry.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for managing relationships with clients, vendors, and staff.
- Strong organizational skills for planning events, including logistics, vendors, and guest registration.
- Must be comfortable with working flexible hours, including weekends, as event schedules require.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Good leadership skills to lead a team towards successful event execution.
- Strong negotiation skills to deal with vendors and suppliers.
- A high degree of professionalism and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred.
- Certification in event planning or hospitality management is a plus.
