EVENTS MANAGER

Neville Hotels are excited to announce the opening of their new deluxe hotel, golf course and holiday lodge resort in the well-known area of Curracloe in Wexford, overlooking the famous Curracloe beach. The boasts 50 bedrooms and suites, together with bar and restaurant, swimming pool and spa. 22 holiday lodges will complete the resort, which will be nestled amongst the 18-hole golf course.
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Event Manager. This role requires a balance of leadership in event management and marketing strategies to drive event bookings. The Senior Event Manager is responsible for leading the events team, managing event planning, and ensuring the seamless execution of events. This role includes collaborating with clients, coordinating with internal teams, and maintaining high standards of service.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in event management, preferably within a luxury hotel or hospitality environment, with a proven track record of successful event execution.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and hotel staff.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail, able to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • A creative thinker with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly under pressure.
  • Dedicated to providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable guest experience.
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems, with a basic understanding of AV and other technical requirements for events.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning and communication of hotel events, including corporate meetings, weddings, banquets, conferences, and special events.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements, providing expert advice and recommendations to ensure successful events.
  • Develop detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate all logistical aspects of the event, including audiovisual, catering, room setup, and guest accommodation.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring all aspects of the event are covered.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients, maintaining positive relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Conduct site tours, meetings, and negotiations with potential clients.
  • Handle client inquiries, special requests, and problem resolution in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates, negotiate contracts with vendors, and ensure all event-related expenses align with the budget.
  • Prepare financial reports and post-event evaluations to assess the overall success and profitability of events.
  • Coordinate with external partners such as event production companies, entertainment, florists, and decorators.
  • Ensure seamless execution of all events, coordinating with internal hotel departments to meet the needs of the event.
  • Assist in the development of event packages, pricing strategies, and promotional materials to attract new clients.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment on promotional goals, revenue targets, and lead generation.
  • Analyse event performance and client feedback to continuously improve marketing efforts and event execution.
