Description:

The International Bowel Ultrasound (IBUS) Group is a not-for-profit association with more than 1300 members worldwide, founded by a group of international experts in bowel ultrasonography and inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), which aims to promote the high-quality performance and adoption of intestinal ultrasound in IBD around the world. IBUS has established a global education program for interested gastroenterologists.
We are looking for experienced Events Project Manager interested in educational projects and working in an international medical environment, with passion in developing, implementing, and monitoring efficient organizational processes to streamline operations, especially in complex multidisciplinary structures.

Tasks

  • Support the Educational Team in planning and delivering the educational program (in-person and virtual workshops, webinars, etc.) from initial consultations to proposal, contracting, implementation, and final billing and take on the responsibility for the assigned projects within the association
  • Takeover of the placement of physicians at IBUS expert centers for further IUS training worldwide
  • Planning of themes, (digital) concepts, budget, resources and training sessions together with the team and third parties (including venue search, set-up, catering

and participants´ coordination)

  • Active participation in the association’s working groups and communication with stakeholders and sponsors
  • In your role, you will continuously develop and document standards, methods, and processes.
  • Management of confidential documents and documentation of projects/ maintenance of project folders
  • Onsite and online support for project working groups, trainees, speakers, and trainers during our meetings and workshops
  • Assist in post-event activities, such as gathering feedback, analysing event success metrics, and preparing event reports.
  • Planning of business trips and other events, in person and online
  • A good understanding and knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance regulations and the codes applicable to this industry is desirable

Requirements

  • Completed training or studies in the field of project or event management
  • Experience in the field of event planning
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Willingness to travel also internationally is essential in order to attend events and workshops onsite
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken. Basic German knowledge and other languages are an advantage
  • You must have right to work in Germany
