Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

If you are an experienced and highly organised events specialist, this role is perfect for you. You will have an opportunity to join our team in Dubai and contribute towards growing and enhancing our regional awards.
As the Events Specialist, you will host engagement events for members and stakeholders. You will leverage your strong network and event management expertise to build impactful, memorable experiences that drive member engagement and promote CIPD knowledge content and insights across the region.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Leading the planning, promotion, and execution of the regional awards, from nomination through to the awards ceremony.
  • Working closely with local suppliers, sponsors, and stakeholders to secure resources and support for the awards.
  • Managing judging panels and facilitating voting and selection processes.
  • Analysing the success of the awards, gathering feedback to refine future events and increase participation.
  • Leading on the engagement activities – developing and executing an annual event plan that includes CIPD-owned events and conferences, networking events, senior leader roundtables, and industry forums.
  • Developing and managing event budgets, and logistics, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality experiences.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for event-related enquiries, providing exceptional customer service to attendees and partners.
  • Responsible for reporting and developing clearly defined events process and operating process with clear KPIs (income, attendance etc.). This includes preparing and delivering event performance reports, highlights, attendance rates, financials, and feedback.
  • Overseeing project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring that all event activities are executed efficiently.
