ABOUT US
Do you care about making a difference to people’s lives? Do you want to work in a dynamic, exciting and interesting control room environment? Are you interested in mix hybrid (office and home subject to business requirements) working with some event delivery from the office which attracts an unsocial hours allowance?
With a population of over 8.6 million and millions of visitors every year, London is a city that’s always on the move. TfL’s Network Management Control Centre (NMCC) helps to ‘Keep London Moving’.
We are at our best when we come together in response to managing the network around major events, which include planning and coordinating iconic events like RideLondon, Notting Hill Carnival, London Marathon, New Year’s Eve to name just a few in our portfolio. We are also responsible for processing filming applications on the Transport for London route network as well as planning and coordinating the ceremonial events in London and the impactful demonstrations, marches and protests.
Our Control Centre is a dynamic exciting environment and the diverse nature of the city is reflected in our teams and our people come from all walks of life.
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic people who care about making a difference. This is a role to be really proud of and you will be provided with training and development opportunities to grow into the role.

- Ability to learn TfL’s technology and systems, including the Microsoft suite of applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams);
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills allied with the ability to negotiate, influence and represent TfL both internally and externally.
KNOWLEDGE
- Experience of planning and management in a dynamic environment;
- An understanding of the transport networks within London and the impact of events and closures within central London;
- The ability to learn the operational delivery of traffic, transport and associated activity;
- Operational knowledge (or the aptitude to learn) the interactions and interdependencies of TfL operational areas.

- Experience of representing your organisation at structured multi-agency meetings.
Responsibilities:
