We are looking for a SysOps Engineer to focus on our {EverConnect / Marketing Technology}. Socius Marketing is a rapidly scaling marketing agency servicing the home improvement, home services, and health care industries. Our services span from website development to search engine optimization to search engine marketing. Our goal is to generate our clients as many leads as possible at the lowest cost per lead from a digital perspective.
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Configure, maintain, and optimize AWS cloud resources using infrastructure as code
- Administer and troubleshoot modern cloud hosts and consumer-facing applications
- Maintain and implement patch management processes to ensure that all systems remain current and are in adherence with industry standards, security protocols, and other compliance requirements
- Monitor the health of multiple technology stacks to ensure high availability across services
- Utilize industry best practices to identify, suggest, and implement areas of improvement in our systems and processes to ensure operational excellence
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to deliver project outcomes
- Maintain working knowledge of current software, trends, and practices related to your responsibilities
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE:
- 3+ of experience administering production hosts
- 2+ years of experience working with a range of AWS cloud services, including ECS, RDS, Lambda, Fargate, ALB, APIGateway, DocumentDB, VPC, etc.
- 2+ years of experience in developing and maintaining infrastructure as code for AWS environments, preferably using Terraform & CDK-TF (Typescript)
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with modern web applications and technologies
- Expertise in identifying root causes and solving complex problems
- Experience adhering to and implementing security best practices for cloud infrastructure and modern application stacks
