KEY SKILLS

  • Technical Proficiency : Proficiency in utilizing standard reservoir engineering tools and software for reservoir engineering studies. Specific expertise in one or more areas.
  • Analytical Expertise : Demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret, and integrate subsurface data to support subsurface and engineering studies of various types (e.g. appraisal and development, enhanced recovery, resource evaluation, due diligence, etc.) for a range of applications.
  • Project Leadership : Strong experience in planning, leading and delivering projects, coordinating teams and managing time and resources successfully.
  • Multitasking: Proven ability to prioritize activities, delegate tasks and quickly filter information from multiple sources.
  • Collaborative Approach : Experience working closely with other subsurface professionals, (geophysicists, geologists, petrophysicists, reservoir engineers etc.) to create validated and integrated reservoir models.
  • Communication Skills : Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and client organizations and deliver industry leading reports.
  • Networking : Proven ability to establish and maintain networks across diverse functions.
  • Consultancy Experience : Experience within an energy consultancy environment is preferrable.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Join our dynamic, integrated subsurface team and play a pivotal role in delivering a wide range of subsurface and engineering projects. These include hydrocarbon exploration and production, decommissioning, geological storage of natural gas, CO 2 , and hydrogen, as well as geothermal energy initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Leadership : Provide expert technical direction across a range of areas, contribute to strategic business initiatives and provide thought leadership in own technical area, leading discussion on technical approach and applications.
  • Technical Leadership : Able to develop project structure, analyse and solve project issues and coordinate resources for large, complex projects.
  • Expert Industry Knowledge: Provide industry leading insights into a range of subsurface technical areas related to hydrocarbon production, natural gas, CO 2 and hydrogen storage, geothermal energy and integrate knowledge with other disciplines.
  • Project Delivery: Deliver complete, high quality project deliverables, ensuring client satisfaction. Provide peer review and quality assurance of team members’ work.
  • Mentorship : Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Business development : Identify business opportunities and discuss potential projects with clients. Lead the delivery of project proposals, construction of work plans and budgets and conclude sales of major projects.
