JOB DESCRIPTION

• Understanding of local and regional air freight market.
• Develop and assist in managing relationships with local service providers.
• Manage freight receipt, routing and turnover of shipments.
• Competitive acquisition of Pricing.
• Lead total logistics of air from POL to POD.
• Timely response to rate inquiries and ops problems.
• Timely response to all customer service inquiries.
• Identify market trends, potential and customer needs.
• Expand/explore new market opportunities after a thorough analysis of market intelligence data.
• Responsible for managing the local procurement function; ensure negotiated rates with carriers, regional and global guidelines and for the best buying conditions (pricing/reliability, connectivity/visibility, frequency/transit-time).
• Manage, coach, lead and develop team members and build a motivated and effective team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-2 years of Air Freight Operations experience in a Dubai-based company.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Passionate about the job.
