As an Executive Assistant (f/m/x) to the Head of Ophthalmic Business (OPT) you will assist him and work closely with the Executive Board, Segment Heads and MED leadership team to support them to innovate, scale and manage MED’s business more effectively. In this role, you will serve as a critical partner on three primary areas: Healthcare Strategy, Digital Transformation and Organizational Culture. In these areas you will support to shape the strategic orientation of MED. You will act as a catalyst for Digital Transformation across all business segments of ZEISS. You will be providing business critical insights to the Board and the Leadership Team to transition OPT Business into digitally enabled solution offering. You will kick-off and lead cross-functional strategic projects and ensure setup of these projects for success.

Your Role

  • Provide structured data-centric recommendations to Leadership based on short term deep dives, technical acumen and business foresight to help decision making at board level
  • Independently kick-off and lead strategic, cross-functional projects from first idea to anchoring ownership in organization
  • Partner with different functions to identify issues, trends and perspectives that might shape the future of the Medical Industry and enable the Leadership to innovate at speed
  • Collaborate across functions on high impacts projects to provide a consistent narrative across initiatives and cascade the strategy to the broader team
  • Moderate innovation and steering alignments across ZEISS leadership
  • Drive operational excellence and establish business cadence and facilitate strategy execution
  • Network across the organization including all management levels to identify and resolve issues and drive alignment

Your Profile

  • Master’s Degree in natural sciences or business administration
  • Prior experience in Strategy Consulting in tier 1 management consulting firm (must have)
  • Ability to influence and affect change in a multi-cultural and cross-functional environment
  • Enjoys driving innovation and incubation of new ideas
  • High bias for action and ability to navigate within a large and constantly evolving framework
  • Strong communication, problem solving and executive stakeholder management skills
  • Anchor multiple projects with minimal direction
  • Willingness to travel globally
  • Business proficiency in English (must have)
  • Analytical skillset and ability to influence with data
