WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, on site in Edinburgh, Bristol or Leeds.

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to the CIO of IP&I and his senior leadership team. The ideal candidate will be a key partner in ensuring the executive’s time is managed efficiently, communication is clear and timely, and daily operations run smoothly. This is a dynamic role requiring a strong ability to multitask, maintain confidentiality, and work in a fast-paced environment.
This role is a great opportunity to be at the heart of supporting IP&I’s transformation, where you’ll have the opportunity work collaboratively across GCOO and IP&I, in addition to key partners, helping to shape the direction for CIO, IP&I making a difference for our colleagues and customers.
As the Executive Assistant to the CIO for IP&I, your responsibilities will be:
- Support the CIO in preparing, analysing and reviewing a range of reports, papers and presentations including those at Board level.
- Co-ordinate delivery of CIO exec office projects ensuring alignment with Group and business strategy, actively support the development of CIO IP&I utilising networks and delivering as a team.
- Business partner liaison and management; including building credible relationships across key contacts e.g. Finance, People Partner, GCA, ensuring these relationships are positive, and we’re constantly improving our connectivity and reputation across the Group.
- Manage high volume, high priority inbound queries and requests in an efficient and timely way.
- Leading the cadence of CIO leadership team meetings with energising agenda’s and focus in conjunction with the CIO’s PA.
- Champion and find opportunities that will support / improve the wider objectives set for the business, driving continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with policies and guidelines together with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements where appropriate implementing actions to protect the Group.
- Delivery of business communications, ranging from regular communications to ad hoc communications required as appropriate.
- Drive our colleague centric culture and people agenda, maintaining a view of colleague feedback, activity across workstreams, including internal events.
- Champion our performance frameworks, ensuring line managers are equipped with knowledge and tools to support talent development and colleagues back to best.

What you’ll need:
- Exceptional organisational skills with an ability to multitask and prioritise.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and ownership of tasks.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
- Strong stakeholder management is key at a senior level including Exec level.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle unforeseen challenges.
- Strong Financial Services background
- A background of CIO and IP&I would be advantageous
