WFAA-TV, the TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate in Dallas, TX, is looking for a dynamic Executive Assistant. This position will provide high-level administrative and project management support to the President and General Manager, the Director of Sales and the full sales department. This role is essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, coordinating key projects, and managing communication flow between departments in a fast-paced media environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of experience in an administrative role reporting directly to upper management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time-management skills and an ability to organize and coordinate multiple concurrent projects
- Proficiency with office productivity tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and an aptitude for learning new software and systems
- Flexible team player, willing to adapt to changes and unafraid of challenges
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information related to the company and its employees
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the organization of tracking station projects including strategic planning, town halls, and other staff events through proficiency in office technologies (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required.
- Manage the calendars of the Station Manager and Director of Sales, including scheduling meetings, coordinating appointments with internal staff, external partners, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate travel arrangements including flights, hotels, transportation, and itineraries for leadership team and clients.
- Handle and coordinate all event tickets and suites in DFW for Sales Department
- Help plan station-wide events including client gatherings and community outreach initiatives.
- Work closely with newsroom, sales, and marketing departments and offer operational support as needed.
- Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism, maintaining confidentiality on all executive and station matters.
