THE OPPORTUNITIES

The AEC is seeking professional and enthusiastic Executive Assistants (multiple positions) to manage the day-to-day operations of the First Assistant Commissioners Offices (FAC) in the Enterprise Transformation Group (ETG).
The Executive Assistants will have several core responsibilities including managing the day-to-day operations of the FAC office, including scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, and acting as a primary contact for the office. You’ll be required to provide administration support to the FAC and the broader division, assist the executive Officer to proactively manage workflows through the office and, engage with internal and external stakeholders to support the timely delivery of outcomes.
The Executive Assistants will work on varied, discrete projects as required by the FAC office, including secretariat and other associated functions, as well as work closely the Branch Project Officers.

To excel you’ll have:

  • Proven experience in a Senior Executive Assistant role.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Proven experience in managing a Senior Executive diary and inbox.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide high quality administrative and coordination support.
  • A positive and proactive approach.

The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is an independent statutory authority established by the Australian Government to maintain an impartial and independent electoral system for eligible voters through active electoral roll management, efficient delivery of polling services, and targeted education and public awareness programs.
