The role of Executive Director, Development has strategic oversight for:
The admissions, advancement, alumni, communications and marketing teams working alongside directors and coordinators.
Effectively developing, promoting and maintaining Mulgrave School’s name, brand and reputation with employees, existing and new families and the wider community.
Developing and maintaining Admissions policies and procedures that ensure the effective recruitment of new students and the maintenance of full enrolment Pre-K 3-Grade 12.
Developing and maintaining communication and marketing policies and procedures that ensure effective internal and external communications.
Creating a culture of advancement and philanthropy within the school community.
Collaborating with the Director of Advancement and the Advancement team to plan and execute a diverse portfolio of fundraising strategies to support the school’s development needs.
Acts as a full member of the school’s leadership team and works to achieve the mission and vision of the school.
Endorse the school’s mission and vision statement.
This will report directly to the Deputy Head of School and work closely and collaboratively with:
The Head of School
The Assistant Head of School, Enrichment
The Associate Director of Community Relations and Events
The Director of Educational and Learning Technology
The Divisional Principals
The Executive Director, Development will supervise the work of:
The Admissions Team
The Director of Advancement and support the work of the Advancement Team
The Alumni Coordinator
The Marketing and Communications Team
Duties and Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Marketing or related subject or extended certification in Fundraising or Admissions
Minimum of three to five years professional experience in admissions, advancement, communications and/or marketing with a track record of increasing responsibility and success
Excellent writing and editorial skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to develop and manage critical path timelines for strategic plans, special events, campaigns, and other large-scale projects
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially public speaking
Strong leadership skills and the ability to support the professional growth of others
Ability to collaborate widely with various constituencies throughout the school community and to be flexible in working hours
Experience in press and media relations
Ability to create content as well as identify and generate creative story ideas
Ability to develop and direct an integrated social media strategy
