QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for the Executive Director positions will have extensive senior management experience leading staff, related technical knowledge, and highly skilled at forming and maintaining positive relationships with partners and clients. You bring business acumen, ability to solve highly complex interdisciplinary problems and consistent in achieving outcomes. You have a proven record of accomplishment in financial and budget management. Superior leadership, communication, and negotiation skills and a highly developed capacity to establish strong networks and linkages will be critical to your success.

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Deputy Minister of Forestry is seeking to fill three Executive Director positions.
These positions are part of the Executive Leadership Team, and will provide strategic advice in relations to programs, initiatives, emerging trends, and issues relating to matters within their focus and accountabilities.
The Executive Directors works closely with the ADM, with one another, other senior representatives of the ministry, other ministries and governments, indigenous and municipal leaders, industry stakeholders to ensure strategic policies and programs are consistent, effective, efficient, relevant and are appropriately aligned with the direction of the ministry and the Government of Alberta.
