A unique opportunity is currently available for a strategic and experienced Senior Manager to join the Department in leading and managing the Offender Development Directorate of the Department.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Executive Director, Offender Development Directorate is responsible for the strategic leadership, direction and management of:
- Offender Rehabilitation Services Unit – responsible for managing Offender Rehabilitation Programs and Services, Cross Border program, Prisoner Education and Vocational Training strategy, Volunteers Unit and Chaplaincy Services.
- Sentence Management Unit – responsible for providing a professional assessment, sentence planning and case management review service.
- Strategic Policy, Projects and Partnerships – responsible for the development, oversight and implementation of key departmental criminal and justice strategies and reforms.
- Significantly contributing to the State Strategic Plan and DCS’s Strategic Plan which includes but is not limited to the Strong Foundations and Clear Pathways – Women’s Action Plan 2025-2030 and the National Agreement on Closing the Gap to reduce the rate of Aboriginal adults incarcerated, with a commitment to a new target of reducing reoffending 20% by 2026 (20by26).
