Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Executive General Manager (GM) of Operations (NSW) to join our team and shape the service delivery of For Purpose Aged Care Australia into the future.
You will be vital during a period of national growth in our business, mentoring and guiding our General Manager’s of Operations across our homes in the following states:
- Victoria
- New South Wales
- Queensland
- Western Australia
You will be based at our Cheltenham Office with regular travel to our sites nationally as required. With 11 current sites and 3 current commissioning homes, this is an exciting time to come on board in a newly created role. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Executive GM of Operations is a high-level strategic leadership position within the Executive team.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE YOUR EXPERIENCE AGAINST THE KEY FOCUS AREAS WHICH INCLUDE:
- Acting as an effective support conduit between on-site Residential Managers, other General Managers and Support Service functions.
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to manage change
- Ability to drive achievement of all residential compliance standards such as Accreditation, WHS and Hospitality Standards
- Lead projects / Support sites throughout the regions
- Consistently demonstrating and role-modelling a high performance, outcome-focused approach
- Maximising occupancy levels
- Maximising revenue (AN-ACC) and minimizing costs (e.g. Contract Nursing and Medical supplies)
- Developing, coordinating and implementing each home’s training and development
- Developing and maintaining an effective, empowered and efficient team to meet the key result areas of the Signature Care strategic plan.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated management experience within an aged care setting
- Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ANACC)
- Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Commonwealth Aged Care Act
- Financial /budget management experience
- Demonstrated record of innovation and achievement in developing and managing services
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to write reports and correspondence in a professional manner
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Ability to manage people, delegate and prioritises tasks, also be results orientated and have the ability to operate autonomously
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate an operational team
- Proven conflict management skills
- Established communication, networking and relationship skills with a wide variety of clients
- Experience in management services across a number of sites
- Actively maintains professional skills and is up to date in current practices in aged care applicable to the role;
