- Fantastic opportunity to join the Deputy Chief Risk Office team
Responsibilities:
- Plan and undertake review activity and report findings with a focus on identifying areas of concern
- Identify, record and report systemic weaknesses in credit management policies, procedures, and practices across the group
- Monitor the business operating environment (internal and external) identifying new or changing credit risks, and ensuring management has appropriate control frameworks in place
- Provide regular, insightful reporting to senior management and Group Risk to ensure awareness of identified problems, comprehension of root causes, and appropriateness of action plans
- Develop and complete targeted, regular reviews in line with the annual credit risk management assurance plan for WIB, Business & Wealth, Consumer and Private Wealth Divisions
- Recruiting, leading and coaching a team of credit risk professionals to execute the Credit Assurance program in accordance with Credit Assurance operating guidelines
- Assess the management of Line 1 and Line 2 credit risk within the business, identifying shortcomings or control weaknesses to enable rectification and improvement
- Work with relevant Line 1 business partners and Line 2 Divisional teams on the implementation and maintenance of Risk policies, procedures, controls, processes, and assurance to meet regulatory and compliance requirements
- Ensuring all material credit risk issues identified by Credit Assurance are raised in JUNO against relevant control(s) and that appropriate management actions are developed and implemented in a timely manner
- Complete appropriate internal quality assurance checks over the Credit Assurance program to ensure it is being implemented effectively and in line with operating guideline
