[What the role is]
As a statutory board and community institution, the Majlis Ugama Islam Singapore manages various funds to support the socio-economic and religious needs of the community – from fundraising and collections to investment of current assets and disbursements to beneficiaries. These funds are based on the values of self-reliance and sustainability to collectively build a successful and progressive Muslim community in Singapore.
We seek a dynamic individual to strengthen our donor/giver management culture, strategies and procedures, ensuring sustained support for Wakaf Masyarakat Singapura (WMS). This role involves developing and implementing strategies to engage donors/givers, and contribute to the achievement of the organization’s fundraising goals.

[What you will be working on]

  • With support management, develop and execute a donor/giver engagement strategy for Muis to increase donor/giver engagement and lifetime contribution, with focus on those contributing to WMS. This includes exploring and benchmarking our approaches with similar philanthropic institutions.
  • Cultivate personalised donor relationships and managing donor experiences so as to ensure sustained support for WMS’s initiatives. This includes contributing to the development of a CRM system and participating in face-to-face direct engagements tailored to donor preferences.
  • Develop and execute tailored donor management for all types of donor profiles, including personalized acknowledgment strategies, regular communication, and exclusive engagement opportunities to enhance donor satisfaction and retention.
  • Coordinate donor recognition and donor activities to maintain strong donor relationships.
  • Manage donor databases and records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information, assisting in facilitating targeted and personalized donor engagement strategies.

[What we are looking for]

  • Tertiary education in a related field.
  • Relevant work experience in advisory, business development, philanthropy, project management, CRM, fundraising and / or Malay Muslim Organisation with a track record of successful project delivery will be advantageous (portfolio to be provided).
  • Track record in philanthropic organizations, charities, public sector, major donor or corporate fundraising will be advantageous.
  • Ability to correspond in a context-sensitive and sophisticated manner with external audiences, including trusts and foundations, major donors, high net worth individuals, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder focus and an outstanding service-oriented attitude.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Resourceful, energetic, proactive, results-oriented team player.
