JOB OVERVIEW

Meal Prep for You is thrilled to announce a year-round kitchen prep position! We are a health-focused food company looking for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will bring a passion for food, at least three years of industry experience, and strong skills, including knife proficiency, prep work, the ability to follow instructions and retain information, as well as a proactive approach. Confidence in a fast-paced kitchen environment is essential!
Compensation will be based on experience, attitude, and quality of work. We are currently hiring for a full-time position, with shifts primarily during daytime hours.

SKILLS

  • Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within the food service or restaurant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal preparation processes.
  • Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
  • Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high volume ingredients for meals, including vegetables, proteins, and other components.
  • Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage areas.
  • Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying management of any shortages.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
