Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Experienced Aircraft Mechanic to join our team in San Antonio, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft heavy maintenance
- 5+ years of experience working various aircraft exterior and interior systems (I.e. hydraulic, flight control, monuments, landing gears, fuel systems, and engines
- 5+ years of experience in working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures
- Experience in accessing aircraft data
- Must be willing to work a variable shift
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Experience performing aircraft engine runs, and engine borescope inspections
- Experience operating an aircraft tug/tow vehicle, forklift, mobile crane, and riding type electric powered elevating equipment
- Experience with REDARS and/or Gold-ESP
Responsibilities:
- Repair, modify and maintain highly complex aircraft structures, structural components and engines
- Repair and maintain aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components
- Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunction
- Apply technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret clearance Post Start is required.
