As an Associate, the PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this role include:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Recognised University Degree / Relevant certifications in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline.
  • 6 months to 1 year of working experience in relevant field
  • Strong knowledge, experience and understanding of PHP (Laravel Framework), OOP Concept, MySQL, JavaScript (jQuery, React).
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming languages / concepts and a good understanding of app architecture is compulsory.
  • Experience with Git, Subversion or other version control tools and IDEs like VS Code etc.
  • Customising, maintaining, and enhancing existing system applications and adhere to agreed delivery schedules.
  • Ability to write readable, well-maintained code, create extensive documentation for existing code and refactor the previously written code into a more readable and maintainable state.
  • Strong critical/ logical thinking skills for problem solving and coding with a security mindset.
  • Customising, maintaining and enhancing existing code and ensuring all codes, source code management system(s) and workstream management system(s) follow industry’s coding best practices and are free from cybersecurity risks.
  • Understanding of Agile / Scrum development life-cycle and familiarity with work / project management tools like JIRA is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Linux based systems and the AWS environment are a plus.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about learning new technologies and learning together with the team.
  • Results oriented with an agile mindset.
  • Able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English Language with confidence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and write computer programmes to perform specific tasks related to organisational goals
  • Create workflow diagrams and charts to demonstrate the functionality of programmes before coding them
  • Run software tests to spot and resolve bugs and inconsistencies
  • Write code for software patches and bug fixes
  • Work with team members to find creative, innovative solutions to problems
  • Collaborate with other departments and clients to understand their needs and devise ways to accommodate them with software
  • Perform regular audits to identify software inefficiencies and mastermind ways to improve workflow
  • Write and continually update documentation for all programmes for internal and external reference
  • To manage system quality constantly and consistently, including but not limited to, troubleshooting and elimination of bug, glitch, error and grammatical mistakes
  • To ensure system quality check is completed comprehensively before pushing it to the live site.
  • To ensure system stability, security, reliability, accessibility and accuracy at all times so that the Client Support team would be able to deliver services in a timely and professional manner to clients.
  • To ensure all the company applications, including but not limited to, Github, Zendesk and etc are managed in a secured manner with proper access authority and information, data, source code, files distribution privately on these channels.
  • Ensure all codes, source code management system(s) and workstream management system(s) follow industry’s coding best practices and are free from cybersecurity risks.
