The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Estimating and Pricing Specialist to join our team in Hazelwood, MO. This position will support Finance Shared Services, Government Estimating: Proposal Development in the Air Dominance division.
This role involves working with both government and commercial contracts, supporting substantial business acquisitions. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, capable of managing assignments proactively, and excels in cross-functional coordination and communication.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- 3+ years’ of experience in business related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management, Accounting)
- 5+ years’ of experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):
- Working knowledge of USG Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations
- Experience building proposals utilizing pricing systems, estimating & pricing tools and processes
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a highly dynamic and diverse team environment with the ability to work across business units, functions and tailor communication to all skill levels within the organization
- Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment and be highly responsive to the needs generated by the day-to-day activities of management and the organization
TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).
SUMMARY PAY RANGE:
$84,150 – $113,850

Responsibilities:
- Analyze request for proposal/quotation requirements, provide guidance and recommendations to develop executable proposal plans of action, identify risks/opportunities, and coordinate artifacts required to meet milestones and ensure compliant cost proposal responses
- Coordinate and collaborate with proposal teams and cost element functional owners to develop appropriate basis of estimate and substantiation of costs estimates, proposals and other related business decision data
- Provide fact-finding, negotiation and audit support of cost proposal artifacts and coordinate responses through proposal teams, as required
- Provide Estimating & Pricing subject matter expertise of processes, tools and techniques to maintain compliance with estimating system requirements
- Identify, assess and implement changes to processes, tools and techniques to simplify estimating and pricing methodologies and improve cost estimating accuracy
- Partner with Program Management, Contracts, Rates Management, Financial Operations and Cost Policy analysts to ensure compliance with new or evolving requirements impacting cost proposals and estimating system
- Support, prepare and brief executive-level presentations, as required
